2009’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Is Getting Remastered: Report
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered has been rated on the South Korean rating board website. The rumored upscaled version of the 2009’s FPS was also rated on the PEGI website earlier this year before being taken down.
The reappearance of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on a rating board confirms that the game is in production. However, no platforms were mentioned in the rating.
Just to be clear, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign remastered is not a follow-up for last year’s COD: Modern Warfare.
Remember that legendary Call of Duty game that was released in 2009 and is considered one of the best Call of Duty titles? Well, COD: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a rumored sequel of that game.
Unfortunately, there’s no mention of the popular multiplayer component in the rating. So, it’s hard to make out if COD: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will be getting a multiplayer treatment or not.
The rumor for the remastered version of 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 first came out in 2018 because of an Amazon listing. Then earlier last year, the title appeared back on the European Ratings Board, PEGI.
So, the title’s reappearance on the South Korean rating board, just added fuel to the fire. And if the rumored title is actually coming out, then there’s no stopping Activision. That is because the company has just released Call of Duty: Warzone, a free-to-play 150-player battle royale game.
