HP Introduces HyperX OMEN 15 for Gamers in India

HP officially launched the HyperX OMEN 15 in India on 27 January 2026. It will be HP’s first gaming laptop offered in the country under the HyperX brand and targets gamers who require performance, speed, and reliability during demanding in-game sessions. Additionally, it is also the first in HP’s gaming lineup in India to bear its latest HyperX gaming persona (introduced at the CES 2026). With the Omen’s launch, HP hopes to consolidate its gaming portfolio that comprises gaming laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software.

Display and Hardware

The HyperX OMEN 15 features a 15.3-inch IPS display with a 2.5K resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a 3ms response time, up to 500 nits of peak brightness, 100 percent sRGB colour coverage, and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. HP has also included an Eyesafe-certified sensor to help reduce blue light exposure during extended gaming sessions.

The design is the classic HP, but one of the new highlights of the HyperX OMEN 15 is its 8K polling rate keyboard, a first for HP. According to the company, the keyboard offers a 0.125ms input response time, which is around four times faster than standard gaming keyboards. This is aimed at competitive gamers who rely on faster input recognition during gameplay.

Performance and Cooling Features

Under the hood, the laptop is powered by a 14th-generation Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. HP claims the system can deliver up to 170W of total power, which should help maintain consistent performance while running modern AAA titles.

The HyperX OMEN 15 comes equipped with OMEN AI and Unleashed Mode, which dynamically adjust performance and thermal settings to maintain stable frame rates. HP has also added OMEN Tempest Cooling, which uses a reversed airflow design to help push dust out of the system through the OMEN Gaming Hub, potentially improving thermal efficiency during long gaming sessions.

Users can customise performance profiles, power limits, and cooling behaviour through the OMEN Gaming Hub. The laptop also supports per-key RGB lighting and an optional RGB light bar via OMEN Light Studio. The system runs Windows 11 out of the box, supporting both gaming and productivity workloads.

Price and Availability

The HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop will be available in India on Flipkart and at select offline retail stores. Pricing starts at Rs 1,49,999, and the laptop comes in Shadow Black.
