Microsoft Launches New App To Manage Surface Earbuds And Headphones
Just a couple of days have passed since Microsoft announced the new Surface Earbuds and the updated Surface Headphones 2 as part of its latest hardware launch. Microsoft said it worked on improving the audio quality, which means it also wants to be better recognized as a company selling audio products.
Redmond has now released a new Surface Audio app for its devices. As the name says, it allows you to control various features of Surface-branded audio products and install software updates.
It is similar to how we have dedicated audio management apps for Google Pixel Buds and Samsung Galaxy Buds. In the case of AirPods, Apple chose to embed the controls directly into iOS.
Surface Audio is available for Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices. You can check details such as battery and sound levels, change language settings, and manage connected devices.
One handy feature offered by the app is that it lets you configure the equalizer settings as well. With a neat and clean UI, you can pick your favorite genre or tweak the bass, treble, and other sound aspects manually.
If you want, you can also reset your Surface Earbuds or Surface headphones to factory defaults using the app.
The app also comes loaded with tutorial videos in case you need help with some features related to your headphones.
