iPhone SE RAM, Battery Revealed: Same Battery Capacity As iPhone 8
Yesterday, Apple took everyone by surprise and announced the iPhone SE 2020, which offers the latest A13 chip and a great single rear camera, all of this for a starting price of $399.
This has caused a stir in the community, with fans thinking it to be a masterstroke from Apple that will destroy the competition from the Android eco-system.
But not so fast! Apple, as always, didn’t bother to mention the two most important specifications of iPhone SE: RAM and Battery. Now, we believe they did it for the right reasons since both are not great, to begin with.
A China Telecom reports that iPhone SE 2020 comes with 3 GB of RAM and “whopping” 1821 mAh battery. It turns out, Apple has not only retained the iPhone 8’s design but a few specifications as well.
Since we don’t have the phone at the moment, we can’t confirm the “13 hours video playback and up to 8 hours streaming video” that Apple boasts about iPhone SE on its websites. But it’s not like these numbers have played out in real life with previous Apple devices.
It would be interesting to see how the battery capacity of the iPhone 8 will handle the performance of the iPhone 11. For those who don’t know, iPhone 11 also has an A13 Bionic chip, but it is coupled with 4GB RAM and 3110 mAh battery.
The iPhone SE’s 1821 mAh battery will also have to hold its ground with “the best single-camera system ever in an iPhone.” A 12MP (f/1.8) single-lens wide-angle rear camera lens, which is the same as on iPhone 11.
iPhone SE 2020 is priced at $399 for the 64GB, $449 for 128 GB and $499 for the 256GB model. Pre-order starts on Friday.
