Mercedes EQS, the future electric car from Mercedes, looks ready to hit the roads as we saw the images of the production-ready model. The vehicle was spotted testing multiple times in camouflage before the spread of the coronavirus.
With next-gen features like level 3 autonomous driving and the reputation that the company holds, this electric car has got everything that can make it a strong contender against cars like Tesla Model 3 and even Model S.
However, recently leaked images of the latest electric car are being shared on social media handles of various auto blogs. These images depict a perfectly production-ready model of the electric car.
As we know, the car is based on the concept of electric car Vision EQS from the Mercedes. The vehicle is set to launch next year in 2021.

As per the report, it will be the flagship sedan for the German automaker. The company has already revealed the concept Vision EQS multiple times, whether it be in Auto Expo India, GIMS (Geneva International Motor Show), or any other motor show.
Finally, now, the company thinks it’s the best time to introduce the EQS to the world.
This electric sedan will have next-gen features like level 3 autonomous driving like Tesla.
According to Mercedes, this electric vehicle has a WLTP range of up to 700 km. Also, with a charging output of 350 kW, it can be charged 0 to 80% in less than 20 minutes.
Apart from this, the electric car also has a combined output of 350 kW (469 HP) that allows it to perform like a super sports car.
This electric machine can sprint from 0 to 100 km per hour in under 4.5 seconds, which is very close to the Mercedes AMG GT (4.0 seconds). The price of the AMG GT in the US starts at around $120,000.
As per the sources, the price of Mercedes EQS will start at around $110,000, it will be lower than the AMG GT.
However, there isn’t any official confirmation regarding the price and launch date from the company. Very soon, everything will be out officially.
This electric car will likely be a tough competition for the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which is a crossover SUV by the way and Tesla Model S. However; Model S is ahead of EQS in terms of figures. Still, one area where EQS will surely lead is better-built quality and ride quality.
At present, we have witnessed almost all the leading automakers are working relentlessly in transitioning towards electric vehicles. BMW has already announced to cut 50% of its internal combustion engine cars and bring more electric vehicles.
