Windows 10 Will Now Automatically Uninstall Buggy Windows Updates
If you run Windows 10 and love to install the latest updates as soon as they become available, you must be aware of the series of issues being caused by buggy Windows 10 updates.
To make sure that customers don’t end up jumping ship out of frustration, Microsoft has quietly published a support document detailing that the company can automatically remove the faulty Windows Updates.
The support document is aptly titled “Why were recently installed updates removed?” It mentions that the company regularly and automatically installs updates to make sure that your device remains secure and speedy. “Occasionally, these updates can fail due to incompatibility or issues in new software,” the document adds.
The company will remove Windows Updates on its own if it detects that your computer recently recovered from a startup failure. It’s worth noting that Microsoft performs this step only when it’s done with all the other possible recovery methods.
As an extra security measure, Microsoft will further stop Windows from downloading updates for the next 30 days. “This will give Microsoft and our partners the opportunity to investigate the failure and fix any issues.”
In case you like living life on the edge, you can still download the updates manually by using the link given in the support document. I’d advise you to go for this step only if the update contains some important driver that’s hampering your day-to-day work.
