While most of us associate Xiaomi with budget smartphones, the company’s flagship Ultra series has slowly raised the bar, competing with the likes of Samsung by offering top-of-the-line specs and exceptional cameras. As a result, anticipation is running high for the next iteration, namely the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

When will the Xiaomi 14 Ultra launch?

According to Xiaomi, the company will unveil the 14 series at the MWC event on February 25th. Additionally, the 14 Ultra will be available in several countries.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Design and Display

Based on the latest rumors from 91Mobiles, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a stunning vegan leather back panel, complemented by a central circular camera module reminiscent of its predecessor’s design. Additionally, while the device will incorporate a metal frame, a titanium version will be available at a later date.

On the front, 14 Ultra will boast a center punch-hole selfie camera alongside a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO, 120Hz curved display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Moreover, the phone will include IP68 water and dust resistance.

Specifications

Being Xiaomi’s top-tier flagship, the 14 Ultra will feature cutting-edge specifications. It will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, featuring one high-performance Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3300 MHz, five medium-performance Cortex-A720 cores, and two efficient Cortex-A520 cores running at 2260 MHz, paired with the Adreno 750 GPU.

In addition to the processor, the phone will be available in three storage and RAM variants: 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16/1TB.

With the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the company showcased its camera capabilities by integrating flagship hardware and competent software. The same can be said for the 14 Ultra, which will house a 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT-900 main camera, along with a 50 MP 122-degree UltraWide lens. Additionally, akin to the S23 Ultra, the 14 Ultra will feature two zoom lenses: one 50MP 5x optical periscope lens coupled with another 50MP 3.2x telephoto lens for portrait shots.

On the front, the phone will include a 32MP selfie camera capable of shooting only 1080p videos. Moreover, it’s important to note that Xiaomi will continue its partnership with Leica to enhance color science and effects.

Software

As expected, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will come with HyperOS, running on top of Android 14. Moreover, based on its predecessor, the device will receive at least three years of Android OS updates and five years of security patches.

Battery

According to the latest reports, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will pack a staggering 5,300mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Moreover, the device will also support 10W reverse wireless charging.

How much will the Xiaomi 14 Ultra cost?

While official pricing is still under wraps, rumors suggest that the 16GB/1TB variant could cost ¥7299 (₹84,212, €940, $1014).
