WhatsApp Gets a Beautiful Material Design Makeover, Download the APK

WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messaging services, has updated its Android app with the much-awaited material design makeover. This material design update has come in the form of WhatsApp build version 2.12.38 and you can download it from company’s website. WhatsApp has been pushing out frequent updates since past few weeks and now is the turn of a beautiful makeover.

What is new in material design update?

This latest update has been released for Android platform and is currently unavailable on Play Store. The new 19MB sized APK file could be download from the WhatsApp website.

In the new WhatsApp with material design, there is a new animation-styled theme that gives this instant messaging app a new look and feel. The updated app has new icons, color-filled emoticon tray and the all new voice calling feature. After the update, calls, chats and contacts are merged with app’s taskbar in a single color.

The chat conversation has a new bubble-like design and after opening the click, you will see a green-colored icon for voice recording. The icons for attachments are now bigger and colorful with new animations. Now if you tap on a user’s name and open it, the new picture is bigger along with the other details.

If you’ve turned on the screen rotation, and you flip the phone after tapping on user’s name, the profile picture shown is bigger and the rest of the information is on the other side.

Right now, this update is unavailable as a regular WhatsApp update from Play Store but you can download it from the link given below.
