Vivo iQOO To Launch Foldable Smartphone; Pics Leaked Online
Following the sub-brand trend, Vivo recently announced one for itself as well, dubbed IQOO, to compete in high-end smartphones segment. Now, trying to take up another tech trend, the sub-brand could finally launch its first smartphone, that too a foldable one.
According to a post on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, IQOO is likely to introduce a foldable smartphone which will fold outwards resulting in display both for the back and the front side.
As per the images, the foldable smartphone has one huge edge-to-edge display, for complete bezel-less display viewing.
While details regarding the alleged foldable smartphone remain behind the veil, it is speculated that it could be priced at CNY 5,000 (around $740) or more.
Additionally, if we go by the pictures, the smartphone hints at a no-port route which it might take, much like the Vivo Apex 2019.
However, as we lack concrete details, we can’t rely on the above-mentioned information, and we need to wait until something substantial is provided.
To recall, Samsung is soon to make its foldable smartphone official, preferably at its February 20 event, followed by Nubia and more companies at the upcoming MWC 2019 tradeshow.
