1. Face ID – Ditching The Home Button
As expected, Apple has ditched the home button in iPad Pro and has introduced Face ID. Equipped with the same sensors as in iPhone X, the Face ID on iPad Pro now works in landscape mode as well when the iPad is connected with the keyboard. Introduction of Face ID means we will soon see Animojis and Memojis on the new device.
2. USB-C Type Charging Port – Charge iPhone With iPad
USB-C type port in iPad was on the cards and Apple did not disappoint. The new iPad Pro has parted ways with the lightning port and included a USB-C type port for charging. The biggest benefit of the USB-C port is that now you can charge your iPhone with iPad which is really incredible. Also, the port also allows the users to connect iPad Pro with displays up to 5K resolution.
3. Apple A12X – Bigger than A12 Bionic
The iPad Pro 2018 is fitted with A12X Bionic chip which is built on the 7nm architecture. Bigger than the contemporary A12 bionic found in the three recently released iPhones, A12X has 8-Core CPU and 7-Core GPU that is boasted to provide “X Box One S class performance,” according to Apple.
4. Bezel-less Design
iPad Pro features a nearly bezel-less design which has allowed the Cupertino company to stretch the display all the way down to the device. Fitted with the new Liquid Retina Display, iPad Pro offers the lowest reflectivity in the industry and the new Pro-Motion technology automatically adjusts the display’s refresh rate according to to the activities performed by the user.
5. New Speaker System
Apple has fitted a new woofer and tweeter pair in the corners of the iPad Pro that mimics the stereo sound experience on the device. This new speaker system will further enhance the video watching experience on the latest iPad Pro.
iPad Pro 2018 11-inches model starts at $799 for 64 GB storage option whereas the entry-level variant of 12-inches iPad Pro can be purchased at $999.
