AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Is The Next Best Desktop GPU Under $300
AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, a midrange desktop GPU costing just $279, is already dominating Nvidia. Considering all the fantastic reviews the card is getting, AMD wasn’t lying when they said RX 5600 XT is “the ultimate graphics card for 1080p gaming.”
After testing the AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, Tom’s Hardware reported that the card offers a seamless gaming experience by easily eclipsing 60fps at 1080P. To test the card, they played massive games like The Division 2 and Gears of War 5. So, they weren’t going easy with it.
Anandtech tested Radeon RX 5600 XT by playing heavy hitters like Metro Exodus at maximum settings. They reported that the card is “fast enough to deliver a no-compromise experience even with the craziest settings.”
Another card that costs under $300 and is offering gaming at 1080P is GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. However, Tom’s Hardware said that the RX 5600 XT easily “beats out” its biggest competitor, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. Anandtech also backed this up and said that by maintaining an average of 58fps at craziest settings, RX 5600 XT “clobbers” GTX 1660 Ti.
To stand against Radeon RX 5600 XT, Nvidia dropped the price of GeForce RTX 2060 Founders Edition to just $299. However, reviewers found out that RX 5600 XT “wins more than it loses against the GeForce RTX 2060.” Also, what’s impressive is that RX 5600 XT uses way too little power than RTX 2060.
Engadget also said that Radeon RTX 5600 XT offers excellent performance at 1080p while also maintaining high speeds at 1440p. According to them, it is the “best option for high framerate 1080p performance under $300.”
