Students from Wroclaw Establish 250km Long WiFi Connection Record
Long-range WiFi is something that is used to reduce the cost and establish distant point-to-point connections in place of other fixed wireless, cellular and satellite networks. Working on the same, in order to set a new record, students from Wroclaw have established a 250km long WiFi connection.
These students established this 250km long WiFi connection between the mountain Beskid Żywiecki at an elevation of 1725m and Wielka Sowa at 1015m.
They posted the following message on the social media:
This students group consists of students studying engineering, masters and doctoral degrees from the Technical University of Worclaw. Their field of interest includes group networking, mobile telecommunications, and the cutting-edge latest telecommunications systems.
This record is a result of a yearlong hard work during which they prepared and collected equipmetns and then took the two teams to two different peaks.
These students include: Mariusz Kondratowicz, Jakub Jochimiak, Marek Wesołowski, Karol Struk, Daniel Szostak, Mateusz Chudziński, Marcin Maroszek, Kamil Sadowy, Piotr Maks and Daniel Kosowski.
