MIUI 11 Under Development: Xiaomi Promises “A New & Unique OS”
After the launch and availability of the MIUI 10, Xiaomi is now expected to launch its next-gen operating system — the MIUI 11. During the Xiaomi MIUI Core Experience Annual Meeting, the company announced that the MIUI 11 is in the R&D stage.
The presentation during the meeting suggested that the upcoming Xiaomi OS will be a new and unique one and is expected to be way faster than its predecessor MIUI 9 and the MIUI 10 OS.
While details regarding the new OS still remains unknown, MIUI 11 is speculated to come with new features which will allow the users to interact better with the smartphone. Additionally, the new features will make the usability easy and convenient.
To recall, the MIUI 10 is designed to render the full bezel-less display experience smoothly and support full-screen screen gestures.
The Notification shade was de-cluttered, with the Recent section was customized for the bezel-less screen. Moreover, it brought faster app launches, AI Portrait mode, Dual apps and the App Vault feature for all the recently-used apps and information.
Furthermore, MIUI 10 included the Mi Drop feature for faster file transfer, much like Apple’s AirDrop, along with the ability to add different passwords for different apps, and the scrolling screenshot feature.
