TUXEDO Pulse 15 Launched: A Linux Ultrabook With High-End AMD Ryzen

TUXEDO Computers is one of the top hardware makers that build Linux-compatible Laptops. Along with Intel-based products, it also makes Linux laptops with AMD Ryzen mobile processor.

Upgrading its Ryzen-based laptop, TUXEDO Computers has now launched a brand new Linux Laptop, TUXEDO Pulse 15. It comes with a major update to the CPU that now uses the Ryzen 4000 series processor instead of the previous 3000 series.

TUXEDO Pulse 15 Specifications

Pulse 15 is super thin with a 16.6 mm chassis made of magnesium alloy and lightweight laptop that weighs only 1.5kg. With a compact design, it also offers excellent battery runtimes for over 20 hours (idle mode at minimum display brightness) using a huge 91 Wh Lithium-Polymer battery.

Under the hood, a high-end mobile processor AMD Ryzen 7 4800H or Ryzen 5 4600H powers the TUXEDO Pulse 15. Ryzen 5 4600H is a six-core processor with 12 threads that run at 3.0 GHz, and Ryzen 7 4800H is an octa-core with 16 threads that run up to 4.3 GHz.

If you care about the screen display, Pulse 15 gives you a 15.6-inch Full HD LED-backlight display with IPS panel. The screen has 1920×1080 resolution with viewing angle 89° and display opening angle 145° approx.

Coming to memory, the based model has 8GB of RAM and 250GB storage. However, you can also configure its dual-channel RAM to up to 64GB and storage up to 2TB.
