With its sporty look, compact design, and sleek headlights, Renault Kwid always manages to take its place in the hearts of customers.

Renault Kwid Variants
Kwid is available with two engine options: a 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. The 0.8-liter engine produces 54 BHP whereas the 1.0-liter engine makes around 68 BHP. Both engines come with a five-speed manual transmission, in addition to an AMT available that is only with the 1.0-liter engine.
If we talk about the available options then, the 0.8-liter engine is offered in Kwid STD, RXE, RXL, and RXT variants. On the other hand, the 1.0-liter engine is available in RXT(O), Climber(O), and the new variant RXL. Earlier, the 1.0-liter engine was also available as RXT variant, which is now replaced by a more affordable RXL variant.
Difference Between New RXL And Old RXT Variant
If we compare the new RXL and the old RXT, then the significant changes include price and few features. The new 1.0-liter RXL is available in both manual and automatic transmission options, with prices Rs 4.16 lakh for MT and Rs 4.48 for the AMT variant. In contrast, the RXT had a price tag of Rs 4.42 lakh for manual and Rs 4.72 lakh for AMT.
As per the sources, in terms of features, the new RXL variant will not have a touchscreen infotainment system and reverse parking camera. Instead, the automaker will provide a single DIN stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity for the new RXL trim. However, Renault will provide other features, including split headlamps, LED tail lamps, power steering, power windows, central locking, and more in the RXL variant.
Apart from this everything remains pretty much the same. Well, it looks more of a marketing spin as where Renault has launched an affordable variant at the same time it’s going short on features. Moreover, the facelift Kwid is an impressive car in terms of design and appearance.
Furthermore, the new RXL variant can be a good option for those who don’t care much about features as now 1.0-liter engine variant is available with a lower price tag.
