Along with its reinforced build, the phone packs a built-in Full HD projector, a high-powered flashlight, and a large battery that lasts several days on a single charge. The device is aimed squarely at outdoor users, campers, and professionals who need more than a conventional smartphone.
The Tank X is unapologetically large and heavy. It weighs around 750 grams and measures over 31mm thick, making it feel more like a rugged tool than a standard phone. The device is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, meaning it’s designed to survive harsh environments where regular smartphones would struggle.
A Phone with a Projector?
Yes, you heard that right. The 8849 Tank X includes a built-in DLP projector that can project a Full HD 1920 × 1080 image with about 220 lumens of brightness. The projector has a projection distance of up to 10 feet, which is much better than the previous phone projectors.
