For those still recovering from the second season of Alice in Borderlands. Japan’s new Japanese horror film Re/ member may be just what you need to add to your watchlist. This teen scream is based on Katsutoshi Murase and Welzard’s popular horror comic series Karada Sagashi.

The live-action thriller depicts a group of six high school students who are imprisoned overnight in their school while being hunted by the “Red Person.” The group must collect numerous body pieces from a dismembered victim hidden throughout the school before time runs out or the Red Person kills them and they must resume the terrible day. It’s a horror-style time loop film with an added “gaming” component that should appeal to lovers of Alice in Borderland and even the Blumhouse franchise Happy Death Day. When will Re/Member be released on Netflix?

Based on Welzard’s manga of the same name, Re/Member (Karada Sagashi) premiered in Japanese theaters on October 14, 2022. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, although it was also lauded as one of the best live-action manga adaptations. Based a screenplay written by Katsutoshi Murase, Re/ member is directed by Eiichirô Hasumi.
