Last month, Samsung introduced a couple of display types, the Infinity-O display being one of them. Now, proving the rumors right, the company has launched its first smartphone with the display, dubbed the Galaxy A8s in China.
The Samsung Galaxy A8s has the 6.4-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O display as its main USP. The display introduces a hole at the top-left-corner, making way for really thin bezels and ensuring an aspect ratio rated at 19:5:9.
Another highlight is the cameras; the device has three cameras at the back rated at 24-megapixel (ultra-wide lens), 10-megapixel (telephoto lens), and 5-megapixel (depth sensor). The front camera stands at 24-megapixel which is housed in the hole.
The Galaxy A8s is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with Kyro 360 CPU. It comes in two RAM/ROM options- 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB.
The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI 9.5 on top. However, there is no word on the battery capacity yet.
Additionally, the smartphone is accompanied by a fingerprint sensor at the back.
With a glossy finish and aluminum built, the Galaxy A8s comes in blue, green, and silver color variants.
However, there is no word on the price and availability yet. So, stay tuned for more information.
