The base model now has 128GB storage, and the top storage is 512GB. This year too, we have 4 variants comprising the iPhone 13, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and Pro Max. The new iPhones have some fancy bells and whistles to them. Some rumors like a bigger battery and smaller notch turned out to be true, but there’s no talk about the satellite calling feature. Despite bigger batteries, the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 miss out on the ProMotion display featured in the Pro Models.

Both the iPhone 13 Mini and the 13 get Apple custom OLED panels with a peak brightness of 800 nits, along with 1200 nits max HDR brightness.

In the cameras department, both phones borrow the sensor-shift OIS from last year’s iPhone 12 Pro. The wide-angle camera now captures 47% more light. The front camera is still surrounded by a notch, which is now 20% smaller. The iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 cameras can also shoot in 4K60FPS HDR. The cameras are now diagonally placed, which accommodates the bigger camera system.

Processing is handled by the new Apple A15 Bionic. Apple says that it is a 50% faster CPU compared to the competition. It also has a 30% faster GPU performance, twice the system cache, new ISP, and new video encoder and audio decoder. The new iPhones also get a faster neural engine to make full use of iOS 15 features. The faster processing will further smoothen the use of features like Text from camera.

This year, the base iPhone 13 gets 128GB storage. You can also get 256GB and a new 512GB model. While this is far from the 1TB rumors, it is an upgrade.

The iPhone 13 uses upcycled plastic bottles for the antenna lines, building on Apple’s environment-friendly approach. In the battery department, the iPhone 13 Mini is told to last 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 Mini, and the iPhone 13 would outlast the iPhone 12 by 2.5 hours. The battery life improvement also comes from features like Smart Data mode, where the iPhone 13 will automatically switch between 4G and 5G to save battery.
