Google rolled out Android 11’s first developer preview (DP1) on all Pixel devices (minus the original Pixel) a few weeks ago.
The search giant has now released another Android 11 update. But before you get too excited, it’s not another developer preview but a mere patch. Developers are calling it Android 11 DP 1.1, of course!
As one can expect, the update adds stability to the DP1 and fixes a few bugs. Interested users can look up the changelog, however, don’t expect any new feature additions or visual changes.
But don’t be disappointed — According to the Android 11 timeline, Google plans to roll-out a new update every month. So, expect Android 11 DP2 in the coming weeks.
As for this update, it is only available to Google Pixel users i.e., people who have flashed the latest Android 11.
There is still no word on the Google Beta program, the early Android release testing ground for a bunch of devices from different vendors. However, we can expect it in May, going by the previous Android 10 release timeline.
Nevertheless, we are keeping a tap on all the Android 11 related updates. We will inform you as soon as something fresh comes up.
