DxOMark, with the help of its newly-launched DxOMark Selfie tool, has started testing the selfie cameras of smartphones, with the test results out for the first 12 smartphones in all the price segments.
The smartphone(s) taking the first spot is the Google Pixel 3, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with a score of 92.
While both the smartphones have attained the same score, both the smartphones differ in their respective front cameras. The Google Pixel 3 has a stronger contrast while the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has better exposure.
Although there were excellent image results by both the smartphones, the Pixel 3 had better texture, and the Galaxy Note 9 called for more clarity.
The third position was grabbed by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (with 84 points) which excelled in great Portrait images with the help of its dual front cameras.
The list has the Apple iPhone XS Max at the fourth spot with 82 marks, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus with 81 points at the fifth position, the Google Pixel 2 at sixth spot with 77 points, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro at number seven with 75 points, and the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the eighth position with 73 marks.
