CES 2021 Show: Hottest Tech Announcements You Should Check Out
1. LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier
Since COVID-19 had made masks mandatory for over a year now, LG has built a finer product over it. The LG PuriCare Wearable air purifier is a mask with a built-in battery, fans, HEPA filter, and respiratory sensors.
Most masks keep out the Coronavirus, but the LG wearable air purifier also eliminates allergens and other impurities. The mask itself is made out of medical-grade silicone and has dual fans that turn on when you breathe, making it easier to get air through the filter. It has replaceable H13 HEPA filters, and it’ll give you about 8 hours of usage at two hours of charge. However, you’ll have to buy a UV charging case separately.
You can buy the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier based on availability from the company website.
2. Binatone MaskFone
If you don’t want fans on your mask, how about earbuds? The Binatone MaskFone, true to its name, combines a mask with a pair of earbuds with environmental noise cancellation. It has a replaceable N95 filter, and you can also wash this mask in a washing machine.
With the earbuds dangling from behind the mask, you’ll find the controls at the front-right jaw. The MaskFone gives you up to 12 hours of playback and it is IPX5 water and sweat resistant. The company is also bringing out a MegaFone mask with a detachable voice projector at CES 2021.
You can buy the MaskFone for $49.99 at the company website.
3. Panasonic AR HUD
The Panasonic AR HUD is definitely among the coolest tech at CES 2021 so far. As the name suggests, it is an augmented reality-based heads-up-display for cars. If you don’t want to go with the conventional screen for navigation, Panasonic is developing tech to turn your entire windshield into one big HUD.
It is certainly a welcome feature as your eyes will be on the road even if you need to look at the map. The company has showcased two HUDs, projecting the navigation and speed among other data.
4. JBL Wireless Earbuds
JBL has also taken to CES 2021 Show to introduce us to its upcoming wireless earbuds lineup. The company has launched four different wireless earbuds priced between $150-$200. The earbud models are JBL Live Free NC Plus ($150), JBL Reflect Mini NC TWS ($150), JBL Live Pro Plus ($180), and the JBL Tour Pro Plus ($200).
The earbuds will hit the market starting in March. The JBL Tour Pro Plus is the highest specced model in the lot. You’ll get 6 hours of playback with noise cancellation, and up to 8 hours with Bluetooth only. The earbuds come with 6.8mm dynamic drivers, speed charge, multiple voice assistant support, IPX-4 sweat proofing, adaptive noise cancellation, and more.
5. LG CLOi UV-C Sanitizing Robot
You’ve probably heard about cleaning robots, but now it’s time for a sanitizing robot that can make public areas safer. LG announced the CLOi UV-C sanitizing robot back in December last year. They finally introduced us to the bot at CES 2021.
With a tower-like design, the robot can navigate through places like offices, restaurants, schools, and other public places. The UV-C lights disinfect the surfaces in their way and virtually kill all bacteria. Operators can monitor the robot via the mobile or tablet app. The LG CLOi UV-C robot also comes with a sensor that limits UV exposure if a person is within 16 feet of it, ensuring staff safety in public spaces.
6. Samsung JetBot 90+ AI
Samsung’s address at the CES Conference 2021 was about AI and how the company has incorporated it virtually everywhere. The latest innovation being the Samsung JetBot 90+ AI, which is an AI-powered robotic vacuum cleaner. Backed by Intel AI, the robot uses LiDAR scanners to navigate through the house and clean it.
The JetBot 90+ AI has a 30-watt suction motor and once it’s done cleaning, the bot goes back to its docking station and empties the collected trash into a garbage bag. Samsung says you only need to replace the bag once every two-three months. You can pair the robot with Samsung’s app and it doubles up as a pet monitor when you’re away.
