Xiaomi recently held a global launch for the next major update to its Android skin, aka MIUI 12. However, the company first unveiled the MIUI 12 update in China in April.
Since then, Xiaomi has consecutively released MIUI 12 Closed Beta builds. We witnessed several new features in the beta builds, including the Partial Screenshot Editor, Magic clone feature of the camera app, among other things.

But we might have to wait before we hear about any new MIUI 12 features, as Xiaomi has decided to suspend the roll-out of MIUI 12 China Closed Beta updates starting this month.
The Chinese tech giant has said it will end Closed beta for Mi 6, Mi 6X, Mi Mix 2, Mi Note 3, Redmi Note 5 from June 20th. In addition, it will halt closed beta updates for Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 Pro (UD), Mi 8 SE, Mi 8 Lite, Mi Max 3, Mi Mix 3, Mi Mix 2S from September 5th.
Reportedly, Xiaomi is halting the Closed beta program for about three weeks, which means no more new features for the time being.
As Xiaomi says, the halt will not affect the users waiting for the stable update, and it will come out as per the schedule. MIUI 12 Global stable version will begin rolling out to the first batch of devices by the end of this month.
Meanwhile, MIUI 12 Global stable beta is already being issued to a few devices, including Redmi K20/Mi 9T and Mi 9. Stable beta acts as a final test — if no major bugs are reported in the build, it will turn into the final MIUI 12 stable update.
