After months of rumors, Mi fans are finally going to see what’s packed in the next major update to Xiaomi’s MIUI.
Today, Xiaomi has confirmed it will unveil MIUI 12, or at least some of the MIUI 12 features at an online event on April 27th. The live streaming of the MIUI 12 event will start at 11:30 AM IST.
Previously, MIUI design officials confirmed several UX related changes to the Android skin, particularly uniformity to the UI elements.
Apart from that, an MIUI 12 leak suggested that there will be UI changes in the settings app, such as the addition of a new Refresh rate landing page and revamped Screen time settings.
Separately, Xiaomi has officially confirmed Dark Mode 2.0 that will include features such as Wallpaper dimming, automatic adjustment of the font-weight, and contrast.
Details regarding MIUI 12 are minimal, however, features confirmed up until now align with changes mentioned by a MI community user a few days back. Information about MIUI 12 supported devices will, of course, come after the release, but we have a good idea of the list of devices that will get MIUI 12.
Along with MIUI 12, Xiaomi will also announce the Mi 10 Youth, which is most likely a rebranded version of Mi 10 Lite 5G that Xiaomi revealed in Europe last month.
The phone will come in four colors and feature a quadruple-camera. Based on the appearance, Mi 10 Youth may feature a periscope telephoto setup as well.
