Windows 10 Insider Build 15007 Released With New Features

Short Bytes: Before releasing Windows 10 Creators Update which is scheduled in the upcoming months, Microsoft is here with another preview release. Windows 10 Insider Build 15007 brings new features to Microsoft Edge, UWP, and Cortana. It also introduces new settings page for upcoming Windows Themes. The Windows 10 Insider Build 15007 is available for the members of Fast Ring Insiders.

Soon after Windows 10 Preview Build 15002, which was a big release with tons of new features like Edge improvements and blue light filter, Microsoft has rolled out Preview Build 15007. While one could mistake the latest build release as a way to fix bugs, it actually comes with new features.

Who can grab Windows 10 Build 15007?

Just like all the other Insider Builds, Microsoft has initially rolled out Windows 10 Build 15007 to the Fast Ring Insider channel. The interested users, who are also a part of the Fast Ring, can simply visit Windows Update settings and perform a check.

What’s new in Windows 10 Build 15007?

Microsoft Edge improvements:

Windows 10 Build 15007 bring numerous Microsoft Edge improvements like tab sharing, easier data import, Web Notes improvements, text, etc.microsoft edge improvements build 15007

Windows themes setting page:

In this build, a new themes settings page has been introduced in the Settings app. Soon, one will be able to download themes from Windows Store.

Windows Hello improvements:

Windows Hello facial recognition has been improved. Now you’ll see a visual guidance that tracks your face in real-time and shows real-time feedback, helping a smooth set up.

Scrollbar improvements for UWP:

With XAML scrollbar improvements, UWP apps have been made better. Now, the scrollbar will be available when one will need it.

Inline progress bar for notifications:

Now app developers can send toast notifications with progress bars like download progress, exercise progress, etc.

New Bluetooth APIs:

Build 15007 is the first build in which you can try the new APIs that enable GATT Server, Bluetooth LE Peripheral role, and unpaired Bluetooth LE device connectivity.

Cortana improvements:

Now Cortana can help you get back your work easily by showing quick links in the Action Center.
