You Season 4 is finally here! After three seasons of watching anyone who has the misfortune of attracting Joe Goldberg’s (Penn Badgley) attention and affection in You, it’s not surprising that everywhere he walks looks suspiciously like a murder scene. Joe’s now somewhat predictable behavior follows a pattern of stalking, obsessing over, and killing all romantic former romantic flames, as committed fans of the Netflix thriller are aware.

After his latest fixation, Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) eluded his bloody charms, his latest self-indulgent serial killer antics forcing him to flee suburban America for England. You Season 4 is shaping up to put Joe’s lust for love and life to the test with a new identity as university lecturer Professor Jonathan Moore. If you’re looking to find out how it all ends, we’ve got you.

You Season 4: Everything you need to know
To put it mildly, You Season 3 finale was quite dramatic. Joe murdered his wife, Love (Victoria Pedretti), abandoned their baby with another family, faked his own death, baked his own toe into a pie to blame the aforementioned death on Love, and then set fire to his house in the California suburbs – which is a bit much, even by his standards. When we last saw Joe, he was posing as “Nick” and had just arrived in Paris to find Marienne, who is from the French city. We already know that You season 4 will be primarily set in London, with a few episodes briefly taking place in Paris.
Based on the trailers and synopsis, it is confirmed Joe has taken on a new alter-ego. He’s now pretending to be Jonathan Moore, a college lecturer. This makes sense, given that the episode was shot on-site at Royal Holloway University. However, it is not known exactly what he is doing in his new life. Here’s the official synopsis of the series, as per Netflix:
“Starting anew in London, Joe vows to bury the past and be his best self. But on the rocky road to redemption, a new obsession starts to take hold.”
You Season 4 will see the return of Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg and Tati Gabrielle as Marienne. Meanwhile, a large number of new cast members have been confirmed for the new episodes, including Lukas Gage, Charlotte Ritchie, Tilly Keeper, Amy-Leigh Hickman, and Ed Speleers.
That’s it for the article. Will Joe, after all find love? Or will he end up dead? We will have to wait until March 10 to find out. Until then, stay tuned with us.
