What is Vadh about?
Written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Rajeev Barnwal, Vadh follows the story of an elderly couple, Shambhunath Mishra, a retired schoolteacher, and his wife, Manju Mishra. The couple lead a routine, middle-class existence. However, the couple’s lives were turned upside down when Shambhunath murdered a local loan shark named Prajapati Pandey in a shocking turn of events.
The couple had no choice except to cover up their crime and convert what they did into the ‘perfect murder’ to save their life. Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta play Shambhunath and Manju Mishra, respectively. The cast also includes Sachdeva as Prajapati Pandey, the loan shark whom Shamhunath murders, and Manav Vij in a prominent role.
