If you are an electric vehicle enthusiast, then you need no introduction to these cars. However, for the rest of our readers, let us tell you guys that both Tesla Model S and Rimac Nevera are the quickest production cars in the world.

On top of that, these are electric cars. Most people are pretty much aware of the Model S as it has been in the industry for quite a long time now. Also, it’s one of the best-selling luxury electric cars with lots of amazing features.

The Model S has taken on many reputable cars, including ICE and EVs on the drag strip. However, this time it got a real challenger. Nevera is a newbie launched this year only. Rimac Nevera is an electric sports car from the Croatian automaker.

It’s a limited production car and has insane specs. If you look at its specs, you would know it’s better than Model S Plaid. Yet the EV fans were so excited for this race.

Rimac Nevera Vs Tesla Model S Plaid: Drag Race

Thanks to the YouTube channel Dragtimes for organizing this amazing race. Last week, Brooks DragTimes took Rimac Nevera on the racing track and broke the quarter-mile record by touching the finish line in 8.58 seconds.

So, the guys made three attempts. Nevera took 8.65 seconds in the first race, whereas Model S Plaid took 9.27 seconds to complete the quarter-mile. Nevera won by a good margin, but Plaid was quicker than Nevera initially, but then Nevera overtook it.

As expected in the second as well as third attempt, Nevera easily defeated Tesla Model S Plaid. On the second attempt, they finished with 8.64 seconds and 9.31 seconds, respectively. The results of the third race were also pretty much the same, with Rimac Nevera finishing in 9.61 seconds and Plaid in 9.29 seconds.

However, Rimac Nevera easily won all three races. Model S Plaid was also amazing because it’s a four-door sedan having one less, and it’s way less expensive than Nevera.

Anyway, both these electric cars are still the quickest production cars in the world.
