What is Farzi about?
Farzi is all about the artist and his work. After being dissatisfied with the rich-poor divide and failing to keep Amol Palekar’s revolutionary journal, Kranti Patrika, running, Sunny (Shahid Kapoor) decides to take matters into his own hands and begins creating counterfeit money with the help of his friend Firoz (Bhuvon Arora). They make a fake currency that is nearly identical to the original.
Meanwhile, Michael (Vijay Sethupathi), a constable, and Mansoor Dalal (Kay Kay Menon), a counterfeiting kingpin, are playing a cat-and-mouse game. Sunny’s art soon meets its connoisseur in Mansoor, who immediately incorporates him into his cartel, making him a cog in a big global crime. Sunny’s necessities quickly become his desires, and it’s no longer about his nanu or his press but only his avarice that puts him neck-deep in counterfeiting.
What will happen to Sunny? Will he get caught? To find out, watch Farzi streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
