Apparently, Tesla Model 3 can drift like a professional drift car.
The Tesla Model 3 is an amazing car on the drag strip. The top of the line performance version can run from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds, which is enough to beat the likes of Dodge Challengers, Toyota Supra, among several others.
However, the Drifts N’ Lifts, a YouTube channel dedicated to drifting old Volvo cars, recently tested a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus and captured the entire thing in a video for us to watch and enjoy.
Here’s a Tesla Model 3 drift you never knew you needed to see today.
A Tesla Model 3 Drift To Brighten Your Day
The presenter drove his friend’s car, the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus, which he had bought only a week ago.
This Model 3 has a Rear Wheel Drive system, which makes the car really good for drifting. The owner of the Model 3 said that it’s really difficult to drift this car. However, our drifter got the hang of it quite easily.
The best thing about the Tesla Model 3 is that it’s always in the “right gear,” said the drifter. He also called the car a “Tire melting machine” because as soon as he turned sideways, the car started spinning tires so fast that it chewed through them in a matter of minutes.
He had quite a lot of fun while drifting this Tesla Model 3 and captured some amazing shots during the process.
The Tesla Model 3 Standard Range plus is powered by a 211 kW electric motor that offers Rear Wheel Drive capability. It weighs around 3,550 pounds while accommodating a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery. It has a top speed of 140 mph and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 5.30 seconds.
