It seems like 2022 is going to be a great year for the gaming industry. Along with many games lined up to be released next year, some games have already been delayed to 2022. Along the same lines, Warhammer 40000 Darktide is now delayed and will be released in 2022.
The game was initially planned for a release later this year. Warhammer 40000 Darktide’s developer Fatshark took to Twitter to break the news. The developer cited the Covid19 pandemic as the reason and wrote, “It’s no secret that building a game during a pandemic is a challenge, and we are not immune to this. We are planning to use the extra time to both focus on the level of quality at the release, as well as invest in more systems to support Darktide for years to come.”

Here’s how fans reacted to Warhammer 40,000 Darktide delay
While fans of the franchise eagerly await the game’s arrival, upon hearing the delay and the studio’s reasons behind it, many praised Farshark’s decision. On the other hand, we also think it’s better to delay a game than rush an unpolished game.
That’s alright, take your time. 2022 will be a packed and great year and you’ll be one of the reasons why

That's fine. It's better to delay the game so players can receive better product, than to release some rushed nonsense that will only cause disappointment

Thank you for considering the quality of the game instead of pleasing the fake profile pics on the internet.

Take all the time you need and I definitely will look forward to this game
Given the fact that the pandemic is still a problem, I absolutely don't blame you for this. And as it's coming to GamePass on day 1, I will still be ready to play – but only when YOU are happy to release.
Keep yourselves safe, don't overwork, and take the time you need :)— Martyn 'Cap'n Cupcake' Currill🦇 (@Maliceunchained) July 15, 2021
Reading the above tweets gives us an idea of how positively the fans of Warhammer 40000 Darktide are taking this news. All the while praising the studio for the decision and keeping in mind the safety of the developers working on the game; moreover, this gives the studio more time to iron out any creases in the upcoming game.
In addition, this sets a great example to other studios as well; rather than rushing a game with unpolished gameplay, it’s better to take time in these tough times and release a version every gamer can enjoy.
