Vivo is soon to unveil the successor to the Nex S, supposedly called the Nex 2. The rumors have started building up and the recent one is in the form of a video throwing light at the design of the future Vivo device.
According to a recent unboxing video, the purported Vivo Nex 2 is expected to adopt the dual-display design, featuring a bezel-less one at the front, and a secondary one at the back.
The secondary display will feature a three-camera setup and an LED ring. The three cameras will also double as the selfie camera. However, there is no word on the functionality of the LED ring also called the ‘Lunar Ring‘ or what purpose will it serve, apart from the expected notification alert.Â
The Nex 2 is speculated to bid goodbye to the pop-up camera that its predecessor had, and could come with a new time-of-flight scanner feature.
The new time-of-flight scanner is expected to click 3D models of objects in front of the three cameras for augmented reality experiences and 3D mapping facial recognition.
The time-of-flight scanner works along the lines of multiple sensors, directing pulses of light, up to three meters away, which was previously showcased by the company.
However, other details regarding the Vivo Nex 2 still remain behind the curtain.
Vivo is expected to unveil the Nex 2 in December, so we need to wait until then to get a more conclusive idea about the Nex 2.
