This year has been full of ups and downs for the major tech companies. Social movements like the “#MeToo” and “#BlackLivesMatter” have greatly affected the environment of tech companies who remain in the spotlight.

Not to mention the massive security breaches and scandals, or the unethical practices forcing employees to take a stand between what’s right and what the company wants.

Every end of the year, Glassdoor, the renowned career website, comes with its annual report of “Best Places To Work” in the following year. The report evaluates companies on the basis of cooperate culture, Transparency, Employee feedback, number of reviews and other related factors.

Here are the top 30 tech companies who have managed to position themselves in the Glassdoor annual report —

It seems like all the major tech companies have downgraded to ridiculously lower ranks this year. Let’s take the case of Facebook who has fallen down form the first position last year to the seventh overall rank.

On the other hand, Google has dropped down from second overall position to eight overall ranking. It’s no surprise though; the search giant was surrounded by a lot of controversies.
