Twitter has started registration for its new influencer monetization features. Super Follows allow users to pay money to influencers for exclusive content. While on the other hand, Ticketed Spaces allows access to audio rooms similar to Clubhouse and Discord.
Users can use Super Follows to tip their favorite influencers, $2.99, $4.99, or $9.99 per month for exclusive content. Influencers can also charge users between $1 and $999 for access to social audio rooms. With Ticketed Spaces, you have the ability to set the size of your room, inviting 100 people, or just five.

Still in test mode but rolling out soon. Here’s a peek at what everybody’s talking about… pic.twitter.com/KMXzmKzbDp
It seems users will be able to access more content based on how much they pay each month, similar to Twitch Prime Subs, which are divided into 3 tiers. However, only select users will be able to access these monetization features.
Unfortunately, only users in the US have access to these features, which are only available through the Twitter mobile app on iOS. Additionally, to be eligible for Super Follows, users over the age of 18 need to have 10,000 followers and at least 25 tweets in the last 30 days. For Ticketed Spaces, users that have hosted three Spaces in the last 30 days and have at least 1,000 followers are eligible to apply for access.
Users can check if they are eligible by looking for the new monetization option in the sidebar. For now, the Super Follow feature is only available for iOS, whereas Ticketed Spaces are available on both Android and iOS devices.
Twitter Influencers
For now, the company plans to take a 3% commission from a Twitter influencer, making it one of the best offerings available to them. The plan is to increase the commission up to 20% once a user has earned $50K+ from Super Follows and Ticketed Spaces.
Find your dream job
This is the next step in continuing our work to create new ways for people to receive and show support on Twitter with 💰. More to come as we continue testing out these features. Head over to the sidebar and find the new Monetization option to apply!

This is a pretty generous offer as compared to other major social media apps. It seems that Twitter plans to entice more and more influencers to be more active on their platform by offering such a deal. This comes after the company set an ambitious goal to double its revenue by the end of 2023. Twitter also plans to grow its user base to 315 million daily active users.
Comparison of commission from different platforms
Platforms | Commission |
3% (20% after Earning $50K+) | |
0% (until 2023) | |
YouTube | 30% on membership fees, 45% on ads |
Twitch | 50% |
OnlyFans | 20% |
Substack | 10% +(payment processing fees) |
Patreon | 5% +(payment processing fees) |
Let’s wait and see how this new thing works, considering the strong competition and potential rivals in the digital landscape.
