A half-scale Tesla Cybertruck went against a full-size Ford pickup truck. The news comes from a Tug of war competition held between a tiny Tesla Cybertruck and a 2010 Ford F-150 XLT.

Brooks from YouTube channel the Hacksmith built this 1:2 scale Cybertruck as well as organized the complete video. There was no part of Tesla in manufacturing or providing any assistance in making this electric pickup truck.

Although some lads built the Cybertruck on their own, the truck has almost all the functionality of a regular Tesla Cybertruck.

Without any further discussion let’s move on to the video

Tesla Cybertruck Vs. Ford F-150: Tug Of War

Don’t underestimate this Cybertruck just by looking at its size. In making this Cybertruck, these guys absolutely nailed its looks. The YouTuber did almost four videos dedicated to the construction of this electric Cybertruck.

Mini Tesla Cybertruck construction and specs

Drivetrain

Inspired by the top model of Tesla CyberTruck, this prototype also has three electric motors. The electric motor and the drivetrain were provided by a Canadian company, Accelerated Systems Inc. The company is a global manufacturer and designer of electric vehicle Driver Systems, electric motors, battery systems, and a lot more.

Weight

The Cybertruck weighs around 1,000 pounds. The original Cybertruck weighs about eight times more than that.

Body

The body is made up of 3mm stainless steel unibody and equipped with armored glass.

Tesla Cybertruck Ultimate Tug Of War

In total, the mini Tesla Cybertruck went against three different types of vehicles.

Tesla Cybertruck Vs. 2016 Chevy Spark

In its first attempt, Cybertruck went against a 2016 Chevy Spark. The Chevy is powered by a 1600cc and in-line four-cylinder engine. The car can make a maximum of 102hp and 132Nm of torque. Chevy Spark weighs around 2,250lbs.

Comparatively, the electric Cybertruck could produce a peak torque of 850Nm. However, it weighs only around 1000 pounds. Therefore, Cybertruck very easily won this competition.

Tesla Cybertruck Vs. 2014 Polaris RZR

On its second attempt, the tiny truck went against a 2014 Polaris RZ powered by a 900cc DOHC Twin Cylinder, which can produce a power of around 88hp and a peak torque of 162Nm.

Even this time, the Cybertruck smoothly outpaced the Polaris RZR.

Tesla Cybertruck Vs. 2010 Ford F-150 XLT

Finally, the Ford F-150 XLT enters the arena of Tug of war. The Ford pickup truck is powered by a 5.4L V8 engine, which produces around 310hp and a peak torque of 495Nm. Also, it weighs the highest among all the participants. The F-150 weighs around 4650lbs.

Since the weight of any vehicle plays a significant role in any Tug of war competition, the F-150 being heaviest along with its high-end specs outpowered the Cybertruck.

However, after adding around 1500lbs weights, the YouTuber did the competition again. And this time, the mini-electric Cybertruck won.

The results left most of the people in the comment section surprised.
