The famous American business magnate, Warren Buffett, has started using an Apple iPhone 11 as his daily driver, making a considerable upgrade from his good old Samsung flip phone.
What makes this more interesting is that Buffett owns around 5.5% of Apple’s stocks through Berkshire Hathaway. He is a renowned name in the stock market and known for his simple lifestyle.
It was about time that he finally said goodbye to his $20 Samsung SCH-U320. Also known as Samsung Haven, the now-discontinued flip phone was released in 2010.
While the exact variant of the iPhone 11 is not known, Buffett told CNBC that he didn’t purchase the device. He has “been getting several of them” over the past years, including one from Apple CEO Tim Cook.
In the past, Cook has publicly expressed his eagerness to make Buffett jump the ship and switch to an iPhone. He even offered to fly all the way to Omaha and personally provide tech support to Buffett if he needs it.
Buffett also said that he isn’t getting the most out of iPhone and using “all of its facilities like most people.” But he is mostly using his iPhone to make phone calls.
He already owns an iPad, which helps him with the research work and, more importantly, check stock prices.
