Online dating platform Tinder seems to be down. With it, the dating lives of users are also on hold. Downdetector showed over 400 complaints when we first observed a possible Tinder outage. At the time of writing this story, over 700 users were facing issues with the app.
While an app outage usually doesn’t hurt much, but since Tinder is down for some, it has turned their dating upside down. Some users are also complaining about all matches disappearing, and screens running blank. Over 70% of users complain that Tinder messaging is not working, 20% are having server issues, while 4% of users are facing login problems. Update on Tinder down was posted from the UK handle of Downdetector, so it is safe to assume that this isn’t a global outage.
The comment thread on Donwdetector about Tinder outage has close to 5,000 comments, filled with people complaining about losing their hard-earned matches and not being able to message. The platform hasn’t posted any update about the outage.
