Recently, the OnePlus 6T made its official entry with only black hue options available. Now, the much-rumored new color variant of the smartphone, the Thunder Purple has officially arrived in China.
The new color option has now been listed on the company’s official website in China, priced at CNY 3,399 (around Rs 35,870) for 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM.
This new variant is in addition to the existing Mirror Black and Midnight Black options. OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple could also mean that the Chinese smartphone company could skip the Red color option which is available in OnePlus 5T and 6.
Just a quick reminder, the main highlight of the new OnePlus 6T is the in-display fingerprint scanner, ditching the rear-mounted one usually found on the OnePlus 6.
The OnePlus 6T sports a 6.41-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a waterdrop notch for really thin bezels. The smartphone comes with an aspect ratio rated at 19:9.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and comes in three RAM/ROM variants: 6GB RAM/128GB ROM (Rs 37,999), 8GB RAM/128GB ROM (Rs 41,999) and 8GB RAM/256GB ROM (Rs 45,999).
On the camera front, there is a dual-camera setup, rated at 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel with EIS, OIS and the new Nightscape feature. The front snapper stands at 16-megapixel. Furthermore, there is support for Ai-based camera features.
The device is backed by a 3,700mAh battery and runs OxygenOS 9.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie. Additionally, the smartphone supports facial recognition.
However, there is no word on the Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T’s availability in India. So, stay tuned for further updates.
