Microsoft has announced the Xbox Games with Gold lineup for January 2022. Xbox Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get the four games for free next month. The games will be made available from January 1 and will be free, thanks to Microsoft’s Xbox Games with Gold lineup.
While the four games will be free for subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & Xbox Live Gold, they will be for a limited duration of time. The games are NeuroVoider, which will be out on January 1, followed by Aground from January 16, along with Radiant Silvergun from January 1′ and lastly Space Invaders Infinity Gene from January 16.
Furthermore, all January games with Xbox Live Gold will be playable on the current-gen consoles, thanks to Xbox’s backward compatibility. Xbox Gold lineup games for January
1. NeuroVoider
The game takes players on a cyberpunk world journey with the game’s original score from the cyberpunk artist, Dan Terminus. With its cybernetic esthetic, players battle through “hordes of vigilante robots using endless combinations of nuclear-powered weapons.” In addition, NeuroVoider takes it up a notch by allowing co-op play with up to four friends.
2. Aground:
In this post-apocalyptic themed RPG, the players will need to craft and build for humanity to survive and reach the stars. “Whether unlocking new technology, raising dragons, or launching into space, the sky is not the limit. Recover what was lost and rebuild everything!”
3. Radiant Silvergun
Revived by Treasure, Radiant Silvergun is the legendary vertical shooter game from the 90s. The game is now made available as part of the January lineup for Xbox Games with Gold.
4. Space Invaders Infinity Gene
Another shot ’em up game that defined the genre for generations upon its release. “Play a total of 143 stages which evolve in both looks and feel the more you play. Unlock new stages, new power ups, and newpower-ups, all to imaginatively stunning visuals.”
While Xbox is undoubtedly going to get games nostalgic with the January lineup, you can also download the games still available in the December lineup.
