Yes, you read the previous sentence correctly. If you want aWindows PC that is extra reliable, you need to buy a Mac.
This conclusion has been drawn in a new report released by Soluto after munching a large amount of data (millions of PCs) using its PC monitoring and management software. Soluto has come up with a list of 10 most reliable laptops for running Windows operating system.
Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch model won the battle over well-known the Windows PC makers like Acer, Dell and Lenovo. Soluto writes in its report: “A main factor in this machine’s metrics is the fact that every Windows installation on it is clean. With PC manufacturers loading so much crapware on new laptops, this is a bit of an unfair competition. But, on the other hand, PC makers should look at this data and aspire to ship PCs that perform just as well as a cleanly installed MacBook Pro.”
Take a look at the list below:
The database includes information from 150,000 laptops running Windows 7 or Windows 8. There were total 49 models from different hardware makers. ZDNet writes the HP had the most entries on the list followed by Lenovo, Dell, Samsung, ASUS, Acer, Toshiba and Apple.
The score mentioned in the list takes into the account the hangs, program crashes, boot time, the background process and the number of “Blue Screen of Death” errors per week.
