Certain rumors just go on for a few days and then there are rumors of Samsung which go on for decades. Similar to our previous report, a new story claims that Samsung is working on a foldable screen smartphone that would come in early 2019.
I know! Many of us have heard of about smartphone manufacturers working on a foldable screen again and again. However, this time, the report from the Wall Street Journal looks propitious.
According to the “people familiar with the matter,” the smartphone codenamed “Winner” will have a 7-inch screen and will bridge the gap of the hinge that we saw in ZTE Axon M launched last year. Although, that phone wasn’t technically foldable, rather two phones glued into one.
Reportedly, the phone will be released in smaller quantities as compared to other Samsung devices. Well, that would anyway occur since the phone will reportedly cost more than $1500.
And these are not the only rumors which are circling on the Internet. The new Samsung S10+ would have a five cam setup and in-display fingerprint scanner. But it seems like Samsung is only good with rumors and not with sales since its last flagship device, Samsung S9 sales were quite unimpressive.
In the light of recent news where it was speculated that Microsoft is also working on a foldable screen device, it is certain that foldable screens are more close than ever and probably would start emerging from next year.
