The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has been presented with the Best Smartphone Award at the Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards at MWC 2021.

These awards are given after considering the phone’s hardware, software, and services provided. Along with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was also shortlisted for the award.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra And The Best Smartphone Award

Let’s briefly go over the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. The device comes with a 6.8-inch dynamic AMOLED panel. It is a 1440 x 3200p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio.

The device has a quad-camera setup. Its main sensor is a 108MP unit with an f/1.8 aperture. Then you get a 10MP periscope lens with 10x optical zoom and another 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Lastly, you get a 12MP ultrawide lens.

You’ll get an Exynos 2100 chip in the global model and a Snapdragon 888 chip in the U.S. model. Both of these are 5G-enabled and based on 5nm architecture. Coming to RAM and storage, you can max out the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

On paper itself, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra justifies its “ultra” tag. Now it has been awarded the best smartphone award at the MWC. Samsung also offers a ton of its own apps and services that work seamlessly with its devices.

A Samsung press release quotes the category judges saying, “The best Android smartphone Samsung has ever made with a great range of features, stunning AMOLED display, best-in-class cameras and more.”

The S21 Ultra 5G is also special as it is the first S-series device to get S-Pen support. It bridges the gap between the Note and the S-series.

Samsung is also working on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold lineup. These will also join Samsung’s growing and improving list of foldable and flip phones.
