Professional Call of Duty streamer, Carl Riemer, has been suspended from Twitch and his esports organization, SoaR Gaming. Why? Well, on his live stream, Riemer got so “intoxicated” that he took out a gun and accidentally fired a round into his desk.

Carl Riemer is a former member of FaZe clan with over 800,000 subscribers on YouTube alone.

On his Twitch live stream, Reimer was being “stupid, like he usually is.” But this time, he went too far as he jokingly brandished a gun, thinking that he emptied the mag, and accidentally fired a round perforating a nearby container of Gfuel.

Immediately after firing the round, Reimer got shocked to his core. “God Damn,” he said. “What the f*ck? I swear to God I just emptied the mag.”

The round didn’t harm anyone, but considering that Reimer has several pets in his house, anyone could’ve gotten hurt, including Reimer himself.

Twitch instantly suspended Reimer’s account, and SoaR Gaming, the esports organization he was a part of, followed the suit by dropping him.

SoaR wrote on Twitter that “We do not condone the actions on Livestream by Carl last night. He has been removed from the SoaR Gaming roster effective immediately.”

Reimer apologized for his stupidity and accepted the punishment he is getting for it. He even thanked SoaR for dropping him because they did “what they needed to do.”

“I just made such a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake,” he said. “All I can say is that I’m sorry, and I deserve everything. Every bit of backlash.”

Fans Continue To Support: Think It’s An Honest Mistake

What’s truly surprising is that even though Reimer himself acknowledged that he is getting what he deserves, a lot of his fans think that Twitch and SoaR gaming are being a bit harsh with him.

One fan replied to SoaR that dropping Reimer is “a bit harsh, the guy was obviously drunk, he thought he had emptied the mag, and it was an honest mistake.”

Another fan wrote, “It’s not like he said the ‘n’ word or anything. I really don’t understand why he is being dropped.”

It’s shocking that people think what Reimer did was not a big deal, as anyone easily could have ended up getting hurt. Every influencer has to follow a code of conduct because there are a whole lot of people looking up to them.
