POCO X2 Confirmed, Will Launch On Feb 4 With 120Hz Display


The much-awaited Poco X2 has been officially announced on the Twitter handle of POCO India. A tweet mentions the launch date of the smartphone with an image that says X2 including the tagline ‘SmoothAF’. According to the tweet, the launch date of the smartphone is February 4, 2020. The official website of Poco X2 shared in the tweet shows a timer that depicts the time left in the launch of the brand new smartphone.

X2 is going to be a boon for gamers as the major features include 120Hz extreme refresh rate for a one of a kind gaming experience. Speculations are that the smartphone will run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor and will have a liquid cooling system to keep the phone at normal temperatures while playing heavy games.

In terms of camera, Poco X2 may come with a quad rear camera set up including a 64MP primary camera and dual front camera set up consisting of 20MP and a 2MP lens.

As it can be deduced from the images posted by POCO, X2 will come equipped with fast charging technology. The basic variant of the Poco X2 will come with a 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. As mentioned by 91mobiles, the smartphone will be available at a price of Rs 28,990.

Previously, Poco was declared an independent brand by Xiaomi and this raised the speculations of the launch of a new Poco smartphone. Only one smartphone dubbed Poco F1 has been launched under the sub-brand Poco to date.

As per the latest reports, Poco is also working on the successor of F1 which will be named Poco F2 and it will hit the market in the first quarter only. Poco F2 will be the first flagship smartphone of Poco after being an independent brand and speculation are high that the smartphone will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship chipset, massive battery, and latest MIUI and Android version.
