[Update] Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Leaked On Torrent Sites In BluRay, Torrent Links Taken Down

Update: Later, a 54GB torrent file (uploaded by user DARK-OVERL) appeared on The Pirate Bay. Fossbytes hasn’t verified the contents of any of the leaked torrents. However, none of the supposed leaked torrents reportedly contain a copy of Disney’s The Pirates of the Caribbean 5.

As pointed out by TorrentFreak, this story had previously assumed that the said movie was a part of the torrents of the similar name that appeared online.

We have seen multiple instances of movies being leaked ahead of their release. The much-awaited Disney movie Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Dead Men Tell No Tales was compromised by a hacker group called TheDarkOverlord.

The hackers threatened to leak the movies on the web if Disney didn’t pay the ransom in Bitcoins. Much to the surprise of people, the ransom wasn’t paid and a torrent link of the movie was uploaded on The Pirate Bay. However, the production house is working with the FBI in order to catch the hacker group.

Although not explicitly named, Cars 3 is another movie that the hackers may have managed to steal.

According to Softpedia, the pirated torrent links have been taken down after it appeared on the internet. But it’s quite possible that the leaked movie might resurface again as some people might have downloaded it by now or the hacker group itself re-uploads it.

If you have something to add, drop your thoughts and feedback.
