OnePlus Z To Have Snapdragon 765G, 12GB RAM: Geekbench Listing

OnePlus Z rumors

After launching OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus has yet another smartphone to launch this quarter. The much-awaited OnePlus Z, a mid-range smartphone from the company.

The phone recently appeared on Geekbench listing with Qualcomm Lito SoC (a codename for Snapdragon 765G) and a massive 12GB of RAM. The listing also hints that OnePlus could release OnePlus Z imminently.

Earlier, there were rumors that OnePlus Z could be launched with MediaTek Dimensity 1000 processor, but the Geekbench listing quashes all such rumors and confirms that OnePlus Z will indeed have a Qualcomm chipset.

OnePlus Z appeared as OnePlus AC2003 on the Geekbench’s platform.

In the screenshot, we can see that the upcoming budget smartphone from OnePlus is using a chipset codenamed “Lito,” which is assigned to a modified variant of Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. The device will run on Android 10 out of the box, as evident from the screenshot.

However, the most surprising fact is the amount of RAM – a massive 12GB. Being a budget smartphone, if OnePlus Z comes with 12GB RAM, it could be a performance-oriented device.

As per Geekbench, OnePlus Z has obtained 612 and 1955 scores on single-core and multi-core respectively, which is impressive.

Other OnePlus Z rumors have indicated that it could have a 90Hz AMOLED display, punch hole display with a single selfie camera, and triple rear camera setup. OnePlus Z price could be anywhere between $450-$475.

OnePlus Z is expected to launch sometime in July 2020, if rumors are to be believed.

Recently, OnePlus said that it would jump back to the budget smartphone market after launching flagships that are priced almost in a similar price bracket as Samsung Galaxy flagships and Apple iPhone.

If we trust the rumors, OnePlus Z has the potential to obliterate the competition with its great specs but lower prices.
