OnePlus 6 gets Android Pie Stable version

OnePlus, has always been Android users favorite. And it’s not just because of the top-notch specs or the reasonable selling price, but because of frequently arriving updates.

After testing the Android 9 Pie beta version, OnePlus 6 users are finally getting the stable version of Android Pie. Although, some of you might have to wait a tiny bit more since the OTA roll-out is staged. In other words, the update is gradually spreading to all the devices.

The update namely Oxygen OS 9.0 have all the cool features of Android Pie like Gesture NavigationAdaptive Battery, new Dark Mode, Revamped Do-Not-Disturb and much more.

Back in June, OnePlus also confirmed that its previous generation devices like OnePlus 5, 5T, 3, 3T will get the Android Pie update. And the Oxygen OS update will come in the exact same order. Since OnePlus 6 is now running Android Pie, we might the expect it on other OnePlus devices somewhere in early 2019.

Apparently, OnePlus 6 is the third device to get Android Pie update after Essential PH-1 and Google Pixel Devices. Check out our list of Android devices getting Android Pie in coming months.

Interestingly, this is the first time Google has been able to roll out new Android update so fast. Thanks to the Project Tremble, Google update support is spreading across all the OEM’s devices. Apart from that, Android One and Android Go program are also helping Google to bring stock Android to other manufacturer devices.
