Android Pie

Although Xiaomi is putting in extra efforts on the next generation MIUI 11, it has not forgotten the Android Pie release which was scheduled to arrive on a number of Xiaomi and Mi devices.

In its goal of bringing Android 9 Pie on all budget phones, Xiaomi has added another bunch of devices to the update list. These devices are — Xiaomi Mi 6X,  Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro,  Xiaomi Redmi Y2.

In the MIUI forum, Xiaomi says that users of the mentioned devices will be able to sign-in for the beta version in the Q1, 2019 itself. The beta will also roll out for a little-over-the-budget line devices like Mi Mix 3, Xiaomi Mi 8.

If one wishes to roll-in for the Android Pie beta version, he or she can simply head over to the Beta Sign-Up page. It is important to know that the beta version is for early testers and tech enthusiasts only. This Android version may include some bugs and glitches.

Android Pie is the latest Android update from Google. The update first rolled out on the Google Pixel devices and, subsequently, on others. This Android version encompasses many interesting features like Adaptive mode, Gesture navigation, Digital Wellbeing and many more.
