Short Bytes: HMD Global is expected to release new Nokia 3310 phone on February 26. According to some Chinese sources, Nokia 3310 will retain the basic design of the original phone. It’s expected to be a feature phone with a larger color screen. The phone is expected to go on sale for €59.

Just in case you missed the story of Nokia 3310’s comeback, feel free to grab all the details here. The smartphone is set to arrive on February 26 at Nokia’s event in Mobile World Congress 2017 and we’ve already seen a few appealing concepts.

During its lifetime, more than 125 million Nokia 3310 phones were sold. But, what to expect from the new Nokia 3310 phone? Is it going to be a smartphone or just a feature phone?

There have been some rumors and designs showing how Android-powered new Nokia 3310 will look in a candy bar form factor. Well, according to a new report, the phone might not be Android-powered at all.

According to Chinese gadget blog VTech, Nokia parent HMD Global plans to make some changes to the original design. Here are the details:

Expected features/specs/changes in new Nokia 3310:

  • Upcoming Nokia 3310 will be a feature phone, not a smartphone
  • Multicolor style, including green, red, yellow, etc.
  • Design of Nokia 3310 design will be continued
  • Slimmer and lighter compared to original 3310
  • Larger and color screen
  • Position of physical keys will remain same, but their size will be adjusted

Well, at the moment, Fossbytes can’t confirm any of these details, and we’ll have to take it with a pinch of salt. The new Nokia 3310 is expected to arrive later this month on February 26, so we’ll have to simply wait and watch.
