New iPhones To Drop ‘Plus’ Naming Conventions; Will Feature Larger Screens

With new models of iPhones ready to be unveiled in the coming weeks, the rumors are flowing left and right.

According to the latest report by Bloomberg, Apple is going to release three iPhone models on the design lines of the current flagship iPhone X. The new models will feature screen sizes of 5.8 inches, 6.1 inches, and 6.5 inches. The report also states that the Apple will bring improvements to camera and processing speed with the new A12 chip.

Some Apple insiders have dubbed this year as the ‘S’ year where the tech giant focuses on improving the internal functionality of the phones while keeping the original design same.

The company is slowly changing its strategy for increasing the revenue. The iPhone maker will focus more on raising average prices rather than attracting a large number of users. Apple is pushing towards keeping a host of active devices to drive the sales of accessories and subscription-based services like iTunes and iCloud.

The large screen 2018 iPhone which is internally known by the code name of D33 would feature a 6.5-inch screen making it the iPhone with the largest screen size. On the software side, the new edition would be the feature to view content side by side in apps such as Calendar and Mail.

The upgraded edition of iPhone X known internally as D32 would carry the same design but improved camera and processing speed.

The most hyped of the three models set to release is the iPhone with LCD screen measuring 6.1 inches. This will be an upgrade to iPhone 8, but the design will be inspired from iPhone X with notch and gesture-based navigation. A person closely involved with Apple said that this model would feature aluminum edges instead of Stainless steel casing. According to the report, it is possible that this low priced model will be available in different colors.

Besides new iPhone models, it is also speculated that new models of Apple Watch, iPad Pro, AirPods and AirPower Wireless charger are also in the pipeline.
